I used to prefer shooting landscapes, but since obtaining the Canon 20D with the 400mm lens, my passion for birding has morphed into a passion for bird photography, dragonfly photography, and any other wildlife I run across.

Equipment
---------------
Canon 20D/50D
400 mm f5.6
70-200mm IS f2.8 Mk II
17-85 mm IS F4.5/5.6
10-22 mm IS
Canon 1.4X extender, Tamron 2X extender
Pro Optic Extension tubes.

Prints
------------
If you are interested in purchasing a print, please email me. Let me know 1) the size you want, 2) whether matted or just mounted on foam core. I'll then provide a price. I print on an Epson R1800, which allows for up to 13 x 19 prints.

If you are local to the Bellevue WA area, I can also provide framing. I do all my own framing, including cutting the mats, frame, and glass.

Publications
----------------
1) Dragonflies and Damselflies of the West by Dennis Paulson (published 2009): Inside cover and page 23 (http://press.princeton.edu/titles/8871.html)

2) Eastside Audubon - Numerous photos of both birds and dragonflies. (http://www.eastsideaudubon.org/). Some photos on on the web site, but most are at the Marymoor Audubon Bird Loop brochure and kiosk at the trail head.

The photography here is beyond description! How you manage to pull such vibrant color and detail from these expertly-composed scenes is beyond me. I told my sister Kathy, whom you know, that it looked as if this had all been done with Photoshop, but I know that professional photographers do not engage in that kind of modification. It is absolutely stunning what you have been able to achieve, Larry.

Your images display a great deal of sensitivity toward the subjects you photographs. Would you like to take a step further and start selling them to magazines? First of all it’s really fun and sometimes rewarding. Having said that, I would suggest to consider visiting http://www.freelance-market.net site, make a search and try a couple magazines to see if that does the job right for you.
